Our Process & Manufacturing Group is seeking a hands-on Scientist or Engineer at our Cambridge, MA site.

Principal responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize cell culture processes for antibodies, antibody-like, fusion, or other proteins
• In-house production of proteins for characterization, purification development, and other in vitro and in vivo studies
• Implement innovative and scalable development strategies
• Transfer and oversight of cell culture processes to manufacturing sites
• Design and perform process characterization activities for biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Participate in process validation activities of biopharmaceuticals
• Collaborate with internal and external groups on biologic projects
• Represent the Process & Manufacturing Group on various project teams
• Support department head in planning and executing program timelines and objectives within established budget
• Support regulatory filings
• Cure cancer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in cell culture development ranging from small scale (flasks) to multi-gram scale (bioreactors), including the use of statistical approaches for planning and executing experiments
• Knowledge of single use systems (SUT bioreactors) required
• Familiarity with cGMPs for biopharmaceuticals and regulatory submissions
• Ability to work well independently as well as a member of a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S. with 7+ years of experience OR Ph.D. with relevant experience
